With headaches, one of the most common things we’ll see is an injury that causes the headaches.

Spinal Curve and Headaches

So, from a spine standpoint, front to back, we should be straight. But from the side, we have curves in our spine and it’s the curve in the neck particularly, where you have a whiplash, a fast motion from a car. It can be head on or reverse, where they hit you from behind, but that neck will snap like this. And what happens is the neck will come into a relaxed state where the curve that should be like a backward shape C has lost its shape. And what happens is when it’s stuck in this position, then the muscles in the area started to get tight. And you’ll notice the tension around the nerves that go up into the head will trigger the headache. If the spine is realigned correctly with corrective chiropractic and adjusting those areas that are out of alignment, which are called subluxations.
